Recreation & Sport Management (BS)

Help connect people with God through the outdoors.

A BS in Recreation and Sport Management will prepare you to integrate your Christian faith with your love of the outdoors. You will receive hands-on experience in recreation and sport management principles that prepare you for graduate study or a career in various fields. Our expert faculty, experienced guest speakers, and out-of-class excursions will prepare you for a life of recreation and sport management beyond the classroom.

The Recreation and Sport Management degree is grounded in the belief that God created time for activities outside of work. You will graduate as a strong, purpose-filled warrior for the Lord who helps connect people to God through sports and recreation.

Concentrations

In the Administration in Athletics & Recreation concentration, you will learn from experts in the field, visit stadiums and local and metro centers, attend conferences, and participate in internships. You will learn the business of sports at multiple levels and explore the relationship between faith and athletics.

The Outdoor Leadership concentration focuses on hard skills and the foundations of experiential education. You will learn ropes course and wilderness medical skills, hike the Foothills Trail in the Jocassee Gorges area, kayak, participate in internships with camps and adventure outfitters, and learn to use outdoor adventures to connect people to God.
