Blackburn presented with research award

The Association of Christian Librarians Research Award was presented to Tessa Morrison Blackburn by Robert Sears, left, director of library services at Southern Wesleyan University. Susan Rouse, right, professor of biology, announced Blackburn as the first SWU student to receive the award. Blackburn, a Biology major from Greenwood, will be graduating Summa Cum Laude in May. She received several additional awards during Honors Convocation April 24 at the university’s Central campus. The award is presented to a student who excels in research, displays outstanding characteristics and demonstrates a record of leadership, ability and Christian character.
