Southern Wesleyan University President Todd Voss, right, receives a $20,000 check from Clemson Mayor J.C., Cook, which will benefit the development of a new driving range on the university’s campus in Central. The presentation was made June 15 at Clemson City Hall.
“The city of Clemson is proud and happy to partner with Southern Wesleyan University and to do our small part to help you along with the golf driving range,” Cook said. The money comes from hospitality funds that are allocated for cultural events, recreation and tourism in the area.
“This gift from the City of Clemson represents such a wonderful community partnership,” said Voss. “We are so appreciative for the vote of confidence from our friends in the City of Clemson and look forward to the activity and future growth ideas like this will produce for our entire area.”
