Convocation at SWU

Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty and staff marked the start of a new academic year with Convocation, Aug. 22, with Dr. Melanie Rowell, professor of music, as the speaker.
Rowell, who is also an alumnus of the university, shared her spiritual journey and gave a challenge to “hold nothing back” when following Christ. Earlier this year, Rowell was named Faculty Member of the Year. Convocation was held at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the university’s campus in Central.
