Dr. Paul Shotsberger, professor of education, recently led a team of education majors on an academic missions trip to Ukraine. Pictured is Shotsberger and SWU students, along with members of the English faculty at Number 3 Public School in Vishgorod.
The team was composed of three SWU students, Riley Nicholson, Mary Elizabeth Owens and Julia Grace Rink; also one Clemson student, Emma Claire King.
The team taught and observed in four schools in five days, two public schools and two private schools, from preschool through middle grades. Classes taught by the team included math, English language, music, natural science, foreign literature and geography. Everyone also had the opportunity to attend church and to facilitate an evangelistic English speaking club.
