Southern Wesleyan University held a dedication ceremony for the Jennings Chapel Organ April 30 at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the university’s campus in Central. The concert featured organists Jane Palmer Dill and Nathan Bryson as well as the university concert choir, performing sacred and classical selections. The organ became a reality, thanks to the support of the late Dr. Lowell Jennings, his family and others. The organ will be used for worship, concerts, recitals and campus celebration events, such as commencement. It was crafted by Cornel Zimmer Organ Builders of Denver, N.C.
