Lightening the load for new SWU students

Aug 20, 2012 | Student Life

Jim Owens of Trinity Wesleyan Church helps new student Chelsie Waters of Warner Robbins, Ga. get her belongings moved to Stuart Bennett residence hall as Southern Wesleyan University welcomed new students to its campus.

Owens is also an educational resources assistant at Southern Wesleyan. The university welcomed approximately 200 new students to its campus in Central Aug. 17. Staff, student mentors, student-athletes and volunteers did their part to take away at least some of the anxiety experienced by new students and their families.
