Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty and staff met Aug. 19, 2008 in the Faith Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the university’s campus in Central.

This was the first chapel to be held in the new facility, which was completed in time to greet students for the 2008-2009 academic year. The $5.6 million, 47,000-square-foot facility has a seating capacity of 1,200, including a spacious balcony and stage. It is also the new home for the university’s Fine Arts and Spiritual Life departments.
