Dr. Richard Emery, senior pastor of First Wesleyan Church in Tuscaloosa, Ala., provided insight into Jesus’ “kingdom” parables when he spoke to students, faculty, staff and board of trustees members during the university’s chapel service April 11. Emery encouraged students to patiently reach out to the world and exemplify a Christian life.
