Aaron Gillespie, former member of the Christian rock band Underoath, performs during a student chapel service at Southern Wesleyan University in Central Jan. 27.
He also gave a free concert that same evening in Folger Fine Arts Auditorium. Gillespie is currently a youth leader with Ignite Student Ministries, based at First United Methodist Church of Hudson, Fla., and is a member of the group The Almost. Gillespie recently recorded a solo album that will be released later this year. Gillespie and his wife Jamie currently reside in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
