SWU donates supplies to James M. Brown Elementary

A group of fourth-grade students at James M. Brown Elementary School show off supplies donated by Southern Wesleyan University and Walmart of Seneca. Southern Wesleyan University, together with Walmart of Seneca, donated supplies that will benefit students at James M. Brown Elementary School in Walhalla.
Southern Wesleyan donated $893 worth of school supplies, which included notebook paper, composition books, rulers, markers and pencil boxes. Walmart donated $150 worth of supplies.
“We appreciate all of the supplies. They will be well-used,” said Michelle Grant, the school’s principal.
Southern Wesleyan University hopes to continue donating supplies to help needy students in Oconee County.
