Nov 7, 2016 | Science
Teams take "The Marshmallow Challenge," a timed competition whose object is to create a structure to hold a marshmallow, built using only uncooked spaghetti, tape and string.
The Math Olympiad also featured a Quiz Bowl, Brainteasers and other tests of skill. The Nov. 4 event was organized by SWU math professors Jacob Chapman and Paul Shotsberger, with valuable assistance rendered by SWU students, faculty and staff. Participating teams came from Daniel, Easley, Mauldin and West-Oak high schools, as well as Oconee Christian Academy.
