Priscilla Hammond talks with a visitor to the Central Railroad Festival about programs offered at Southern Wesleyan University.
The university was a sponsor for this year’s festival, taking place April 26 in downtown Central. Hammond is a 2006 master of ministry graduate and also a board member of Southern Wesleyan’s Alumni Association. Also manning the table were several members of Southern Wesleyan’s staff, and the SWU Jazz Ensemble kicked off the festival on a jazzy note. The festival, which celebrates the town of Central’s rich railroad heritage, takes place annually on the fourth Saturday of April.
