SWU professor awarded grant

Dr. G. Dr. G. Fred Woodworth, professor of education at Southern Wesleyan University, was awarded the State Gifted and Talented Grant to offer two courses to help teachers in South Carolina become certified in Gifted and Talented classes.

“This is the sixth year that Southern Wesleyan University has been awarded this grant, which speaks well for the quality of instruction for Gifted and Talented at Southern Wesleyan University,” said Dr. Sandra McLendon, professor of education and acting dean for the School of Education. This grant award is in excess of $34,000.
