Kristi King-Brock, executive director of Anderson Interfaith Ministries, explains the Women and Children Succeeding program at an informational luncheon Sept. 25 at Southern Wesleyan University in Central.
The event featured testimonials from program participants, who receive funding for child care while attending college. In return for help with child care, the participants provide community service hours and are required to meet strict academic and behavioral guidelines. Women and Children Succeeding is an active program in Anderson County and it is expanding to offer services to those in Pickens and Oconee counties.
