Southern Wesleyan University’s board of trustees met recently at the university’s campus in Central, S.C. The speaker for the university’s trustees’ chapel service was Rev. Jerry Lumston, a Southern Wesleyan University alumnus who is also a member of the university’s board of trustees. Lumston, who serves as district superintendent for the North Carolina West district of The Wesleyan Church, spoke about the importance of having a childlike faith in God. He gave examples of how young children place trust in their mother and father.
