G. Fred Woodworth, professor of education at Southern Wesleyan University, conducted a class about social and emotional needs of gifted learners for a group of Pickens County gifted/talented teachers and guidance counselors.
Woodworth noted pressures put on these students, identifying ways to help them gain interpersonal skills and self-acceptance. The class took place Sept. 11 at the Pickens County School District administrative office.
